Perfect for IoT Prototyping
This board works flawlessly out of the box. The USB-C connection makes programming very convenient, and the Wi-Fi range is impressive for such a small form factor. Highly recommended for beginners and pros alike.

Solid performance for control tasks
Using this for a custom industrial controller prototype. The processing speed is adequate for real-time tasks, and the thermal performance is good even under continuous load. Would buy again.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
The hardware quality is excellent and the RISC-V architecture performs well. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram on the back could be clearer, but the online community filled in the blanks quickly.

Compact and powerful
Replaced an older ESP8266 project with this. The dual-band capability isn't here, but the single 2.4GHz radio is stable, and the extra GPIOs allowed me to add more sensors to my smart home hub.

Bluetooth LE works perfectly

Easy to set up with Arduino IDE
As someone new to embedded systems, I was worried about the setup process. Installing the board manager took minutes, and the example sketches ran immediately. A fantastic learning tool.

A: No, this board is shipped without pre-soldered headers to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder your own male or female headers depending on your project requirements.
Q: Does this board support external antennas?
A: Yes, the board includes a U.FL connector option on some variants, but this specific model uses the onboard PCB antenna. For stronger signal needs, ensure you select the version with the external antenna header.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 3.7V LiPo battery?
A: While the chip operates at 3.3V, this board does not have a built-in LiPo charging circuit. You should use a regulated 5V source or a separate LDO regulator if connecting a battery directly to the VIN pin.
Q: What is the maximum current draw per GPIO pin?
A: Each GPIO pin can source or sink up to 40mA. However, the total current for all ports combined should not exceed the specified limits in the datasheet to prevent damage.
