Good performance, runs warm
The board performs well under load, though it does get a bit warm when using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously for extended periods. A small heatsink might help, but it hasn't affected functionality.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
This board is exactly what I needed for my smart home project. The Wi-Fi connection is stable, and the Bluetooth pairing worked instantly with my phone. Documentation was easy to follow.

Robust and Reliable

Excellent ADC and DAC support
Needed specific analog input capabilities for an environmental monitoring station. The ADC resolution is sufficient for my needs, and the community support for libraries is fantastic.

Ideal for Classroom Use
We bought ten of these for our robotics club. They are durable enough for students to handle and powerful enough for complex projects involving MQTT and cloud connectivity.
Q: Does this board come with a USB cable included?
A: No, the package typically includes only the development board. A standard Micro-USB cable is required for power and programming but is sold separately.
Q: What is the maximum current draw for the 3.3V pin?
A: The onboard regulator can supply approximately 600mA total, but we recommend drawing no more than 200-300mA from the 3.3V pin to ensure stability.
Q: Does it support Over-The-Air (OTA) updates?
A: Yes, the ESP32 chip fully supports OTA updates, allowing you to upload new firmware wirelessly once the initial code is flashed via USB.
Q: Can I power this directly with a 9V battery?
A: It is not recommended to connect 9V directly to the 5V pin as it may damage the voltage regulator. Please use a regulated 5V source or a USB power bank.
Q: Is this compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, absolutely. You can easily install the ESP32 board manager URL in Arduino IDE preferences and start programming immediately.
