Reliable for remote monitoring
Deployed ten of these for agricultural monitoring. Battery life is outstanding in deep sleep mode. The SX1262 chip provides much better sensitivity than older SX1276 modules I've used.

Solid hardware, documentation could be better
The build quality is excellent and the low-power modes work as advertised. However, finding specific pinout diagrams for the LoRa interface took some digging. Once configured, it works flawlessly.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
This board combines the best of both worlds with ESP32-C3 and SX1262. Setup was smooth in Arduino IDE, and the LoRa range is impressive even with a small whip antenna. Great value for industrial sensor nodes.

Great integration of WiFi and LoRa
I needed a device that could handle local WiFi config and long-range LoRa transmission. This module handles both without interference. The USB-C port is a nice modern touch.

Professional grade performance

Good learning board
As someone new to LoRaWAN, this board made it easy to get started. Plenty of example code available online. Only wish it came with a built-in battery connector header soldered by default.
Q: Does this board support The Things Network (TTN)?
A: Yes, the CT62 module is fully compatible with The Things Network. You can use libraries like LMIC or the ESP32 LoRaWAN stack to connect easily.
Q: Is an external antenna included in the package?
A: No, the package includes the development board only. You will need to purchase an IPEX/U.FL to SMA adapter and an appropriate external antenna separately for optimal RF performance.
Q: What is the maximum data rate for the LoRa connection?
A: The data rate depends on the Spreading Factor (SF) and bandwidth settings. With SX1262, you can achieve up to several hundred kbps at lower SF, but typical long-range IoT usage is between 0.3 kbps and 50 kbps.
Q: Does it support Over-The-Air (OTA) updates?
A: Yes, since it is based on the ESP32-C3, it fully supports OTA updates via Wi-Fi. You can implement this using the standard Arduino OTA library or ESP-IDF components.
Q: Can I power this directly via the GPIO pins?
A: It is recommended to power the board via the USB-C port or the dedicated 5V/GND pins. Supplying 3.3V directly to GPIO pins may not provide stable power for the Wi-Fi and LoRa transmitters.
