Great board, minor heat
Works perfectly with MicroPython. Gets a bit warm during sustained WiFi usage but nothing concerning.

Headers Not Included
Good board but I wished it came with pre-soldered headers for beginners. Had to buy them separately.

Best RP2040 Board
The Pico 2W is a huge upgrade. Stable connection and easy to program right out of the box.

Excellent for Robotics
Used this for a small RC car project. The dual-core performance is noticeable compared to the original Pico.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Pico libraries?
A: Yes, the pinout and software are largely compatible with the original Pico ecosystem.
Q: Can I power this with 3.3V directly?
A: Yes, the VSYS pin accepts 1.8V to 5.5V input, so 3.3V is within the safe operating range.
Q: Is there an external antenna connector?
A: No, the Pico 2W uses an onboard PCB antenna and does not support external antenna connections.
Q: What IDE do you recommend?
A: Thonny IDE is highly recommended for MicroPython development on this board.
Q: Does the standard Pico 2 have WiFi?
A: No, only the Pico 2W model includes wireless functionality. The standard Pico 2 does not.
