Good Hardware, Documentation Needs Work
The board quality is solid and the connectors fit tightly. However, the pinout documentation was a bit vague for custom FPGA logic implementation. Support helped eventually.

Works but Requires Specific FMC Host
Make sure your carrier board supports HPC FMC voltage levels. It didn't work initially with my older LPC board. Once switched to HPC compatible host, it functioned correctly.
Q: Can I hot-swap the SFP modules while the board is powered?
A: Yes, the SFP+ cages support hot-swapping. However, we recommend disabling the specific port in software before removal to prevent data errors.
Q: Are Linux drivers available for this hardware?
A: Yes, we provide open-source reference drivers and example projects in our GitHub repository compatible with PetaLinux.
Q: What is the maximum power consumption of this board?
A: The typical power consumption is around 2.5W when all four channels are active with standard SFP+ modules installed.
Q: Is this compatible with Xilinx Zynq 7000 series boards?
A: Yes, this daughterboard is compatible with Zynq 7000 series provided the carrier board has an HPC FMC connector.
Q: Does the package include SFP optical modules?
A: No, the package contains only the adapter daughterboard. SFP+ transceivers and fiber cables must be purchased separately.
