Reliable performance
Been running this on a servo motor for three months now in a dusty workshop environment. No signs of wear or loosening. The high torque rating is not just marketing hype.

Great torque transmission
I was worried about slippage under high load, but this CPOC model holds tight. The cross slider mechanism is smooth and there is absolutely no backlash detected during direction changes.

Good value for money
Works exactly as described for my 3D printer conversion project. The anodized finish looks professional. Just ensure you measure your shaft diameters carefully before ordering.

Solid build quality
The aluminum feels very sturdy and the machining is precise. It handles the parallel misalignment in my setup well. Took off one star because the instructions were minimal, but it's intuitive enough.

Easy to install
The eccentric screw locking system is a game changer. I can align the shafts and lock them down in seconds without needing to rotate the shaft to access a set screw. Highly recommended.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in wet conditions?
A: While the aluminum alloy has an anodized finish which offers some corrosion resistance, this coupling is not sealed against water ingress. For outdoor or wet environments, we suggest adding a protective cover or using a stainless steel variant if available.
Q: Does this coupling accommodate angular misalignment as well as parallel?
A: This Cross Slider (Oldham) coupling is primarily designed to compensate for parallel misalignment. While it can handle very slight angular errors, we recommend using a beam or bellows coupling for significant angular misalignment.
Q: Does the package include both halves of the coupling and the center disc?
A: Yes, the product comes as a complete assembly including both shaft hubs, the center sliding disc, and all necessary clamping screws pre-installed.
Q: Is this suitable for high-speed applications over 3000 RPM?
A: Yes, the balanced aluminum alloy construction allows for high-speed operation. However, ensure that the shaft alignment is as precise as possible to minimize centrifugal forces at maximum RPM.
Q: What tools are required to tighten the eccentric screws?
A: You will need a standard hex key (Allen wrench) corresponding to the screw size included with the coupling. Usually, a 2mm or 2.5mm hex key is sufficient depending on the specific bore size.
