Needs careful wiring
Works but be careful with VCC polarity. Markings are small. Otherwise functional for basic tests.

Reliable IR Receiver
Bought five for a classroom kit. All working perfectly. Easy to solder headers on if not pre-installed.

Good sensor, limited range
Does what it says. Range is a bit less than expected in bright light, but works great indoors for my robot.
Q: Does it come with an IR emitter LED?
A: This module is the receiver only. IR emitter LEDs are sold separately.
Q: What is the pinout order?
A: From front facing the sensor: VCC, GND, OUT. Please check the silkscreen on the PCB.
Q: What library do you recommend for Arduino?
A: We recommend the IRremote library available in the Arduino IDE Manager.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic?
A: Yes, it operates between 3.3V and 5V DC, making it compatible with most microcontrollers.
Q: Can it work in direct sunlight?
A: Sunlight contains IR noise. Performance may degrade outdoors or in direct sunlight.
