Beautiful but delicate
A gorgeous reproduction of a classic portrait. The colors are vibrant. Just be careful when unrolling it as the silk is quite thin, which is expected for this type of art.

Good, but smaller than expected
The quality is good for the price, but I misread the dimensions. It looks a bit small on my large wall. Make sure to measure your space before buying.

Excellent craftsmanship
The wooden rollers are smooth and the silk has a nice sheen to it. The facial expression of the Emperor captures his authority perfectly. Highly recommended.

Authentic feel
I have several Chinese paintings, and this one fits right in. The brushwork style is consistent with traditional court portraits. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Perfect gift for history buffs
Bought this for my father who loves Tang Dynasty history. He was thrilled. The packaging ensured it arrived without any creases or damage.

Stunning historical piece
The detail in Emperor Li Shimin's robes is incredible. The silk quality feels authentic and the mounting is very sturdy. It looks magnificent in my study.
Q: How should I store this if I am not displaying it immediately?
A: Please roll it loosely with the painting facing outward (if possible) or follow the included care card, and store it in the provided protective tube in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Q: Can this be framed behind glass?
A: While you can frame it, hanging scrolls are traditionally displayed without glass to appreciate the texture of the silk and the movement of the rollers. Glass may cause glare and trap moisture.
Q: Is this an original antique or a modern reproduction?
A: This is a high-quality modern reproduction painted on silk using traditional techniques. It is not an antique artifact from the Tang Dynasty.
Q: Are the calligraphy characters legible?
A: Yes, the posthumous title and other inscriptions are clearly painted in traditional calligraphy style, matching the original historical records.
Q: Does this come with a wall hook or hanging hardware?
A: The scroll comes with a traditional silk loop at the top for hanging. A specific nail or hook is not included, but any standard picture hook will work well.
