Great Sound, Heavy Stand
The drum itself is fantastic with a very traditional tone. The only minor issue is that the metal stand is quite heavy, which is good for stability but less convenient for quick setup.

Beautiful Craftsmanship
As a student of Peking Opera, I was looking for an authentic set. The rosewood finish is beautiful, and the skin tension is perfect right out of the box. Highly recommended.

Excellent Value
Considering this comes with a stand and a padded bag, the price is very reasonable. The sound quality rivals sets I have seen costing twice as much.

Authentic Traditional Sound
Very satisfied with the purchase. The drum head produces that classic penetrating sound required for Jing Ban. Delivery was fast and packaging protected the instrument well.

Exceptional Quality for Professional Use
I purchased the Model 418 for our theater troupe. The sound is incredibly crisp and cuts through the orchestra perfectly. The stand is sturdy and the bag makes transport very easy.

Perfect for Stage Performance
We use the Model 420 in our weekly performances. It holds its tuning well even under hot stage lights. The clapper has a sharp snap that is essential for cueing the band.
Q: Are replacement drum heads available if needed?
A: Yes, we offer replacement buffalo skin heads compatible with all three models. Please contact our support team with your specific model number to order the correct size.
Q: Is the stand adjustable for different seating heights?
A: Yes, the included metal stand features an adjustable height mechanism, allowing performers to set the drum at a comfortable level whether sitting on a standard stool or a traditional opera bench.
Q: What is the difference between models 416, 418, and 420?
A: The primary difference lies in the diameter of the drum head and the depth of the shell, which affects the pitch and volume. Model 416 is slightly smaller with a higher pitch, while 420 offers a deeper, more resonant tone suitable for larger venues.
Q: How do I maintain the buffalo skin drum head?
A: To maintain the skin, avoid exposing the drum to extreme humidity or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. When not in use, keep it in the provided bag. If the skin becomes loose due to humidity, gentle warming can help tighten it temporarily.
Q: Does the carrying bag have shoulder straps?
A: Yes, the durable canvas carrying bag is equipped with reinforced shoulder straps and a handle to ensure easy and comfortable transportation of the drum, clapper, and stand.
