Great quality, fast shipping
As a percussion student studying Chinese opera, this drum exceeded my expectations. The leather head is tight and responsive. Only minor issue was the stick felt a bit light.

Perfect for our troupe performances
We purchased the 418 model for our Beijing Opera group. The sound is incredibly crisp and cuts through the orchestra perfectly. The craftsmanship is excellent.

Masterpiece of craftsmanship
The attention to detail on this Fengming drum is outstanding. The tuning is perfect right out of the box. It has become the centerpiece of my collection.

Authentic traditional sound
This is a professional-grade instrument. The wood density provides a warm tone while maintaining the sharp attack needed for Ban Gu playing. Highly recommended.

Excellent durability
Been using this daily for rehearsals for three months. No signs of wear on the rim or the skin. The 420 size offers a slightly deeper resonance which I love.

Good value for money
Solid construction and beautiful finish. It sounds very similar to the drums used by major troupes in Beijing. A great choice for serious practitioners.
Q: What is the difference between sizes 416 and 420?
A: The numbers refer to the diameter in millimeters. The 420 model is slightly larger, producing a deeper and more resonant tone compared to the sharper, higher pitch of the 416.
Q: Can beginners use this or is it only for professionals?
A: While marketed for professional troupes, beginners can certainly use it. However, due to the high sensitivity and authentic tension, it requires proper technique to play correctly.
Q: Is the drumhead replaceable if it wears out?
A: Yes, the leather head is designed to be replaceable by a professional instrument repair technician to maintain optimal tension and sound quality.
Q: Does this come with a carrying case?
A: No, the standard package includes the Board Drum and one wooden drumstick. Carrying cases can be purchased separately from our accessories section.
Q: How should I store this drum to prevent damage?
A: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity changes. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the drumhead to preserve its tension.
