Works great for phone pouches
Made a small pouch to block tracking signals when traveling. Tested it by calling the phone inside, and it went straight to voicemail. Just be careful not to wash it in a machine.

Great shielding, slightly stiff at first
The EMI shielding properties are exactly as described. I used it to line a small electronics enclosure. It was a bit stiff initially but softened up after being handled a few times.

Reliable for RF projects

Good product, watch the edges
The fabric works well for blocking signals, but the cut edges can be sharp. Make sure to fold them over or bind them when sewing to avoid skin irritation.

Excellent quality for the price

Perfect for DIY Touchscreen Gloves
I bought this to make my own winter gloves that work with smartphones. The conductivity is excellent right out of the package. It sews easily without fraying too much if you use a sharp needle.
Q: What type of thread should I use for sewing this fabric?
A: For best conductivity throughout the garment, use conductive thread. If conductivity at the seams is not critical, standard polyester thread works fine for structural integrity.
Q: Can this fabric be washed in a washing machine?
A: We strongly recommend hand washing with mild detergent and air drying. Machine washing or tumble drying may degrade the conductive coating over time.
Q: Is this material safe to touch directly against the skin?
A: Yes, it is generally safe for skin contact. However, some individuals with sensitive skin or specific metal allergies (nickel) should wear a liner or barrier layer.
Q: Does this block 5G signals as well as 4G?
A: Yes, the shielding effectiveness covers a broad spectrum including frequencies used by 4G and 5G networks, typically ranging from 30 MHz up to several GHz.
Q: How do I connect a wire to this fabric for a circuit?
A: You can solder directly to the fabric using a low-temperature solder and flux, or use conductive epoxy/adhesive for a non-heat connection method.
