A Conversation Starter
Not only does it sound amazing, but it also looks incredible. The hand-carved details on the body are exquisite. I've used it in three recording sessions already, and the engineers loved the unique texture it added to the tracks.

Solid Build, Distinctive Tone
The build quality is very robust. It feels durable yet lightweight. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the strings it came with were a bit rusty, but replacing them was easy and now it sings.

Excellent Hybrid Instrument

Unique Sound and Beautiful Craftsmanship
This Phin is absolutely stunning. The teak wood resonates beautifully, and the electric pickup allows me to play it live without feedback issues. It has a distinct twang that you just can't get from a standard mandolin.

A: It typically uses steel strings arranged in three courses. We recommend light gauge steel mandolin strings for the best balance of tone and playability.
Q: Does this instrument come with a strap button installed?
A: Yes, there is a strap button pre-installed at the base of the body. Another button can be easily added to the neck heel if needed.
Q: Is the fretboard radius flat or curved?
A: The fretboard has a slight curvature to facilitate comfortable chording and bending, typical of traditional Phin construction methods.
Q: How do I adjust the action if it feels too high?
A: The saddle is adjustable. You can loosen the strings, remove the saddle, and sand the bottom slightly to lower the action, or contact us for a professional setup guide.
