Professional grade quality
After playing this for three months in our local opera troupe, I can confirm it holds its tuning very well even under hot stage lights. The projection is excellent for large halls.

Exceptional resonance for Henan Opera
The Nanmu wood provides a incredibly warm and deep tone that cuts through the ensemble perfectly. The gold strings add a brilliant clarity to the high notes without becoming shrill. Highly recommended for serious performers.

Great sound, heavy bow balance
The instrument itself is fantastic with rich overtones typical of the Chen family style. I deducted one star only because the included bow felt slightly heavier than what I am used to, but the sound quality makes up for it.

Worth every penny
Upgraded from a student model and the difference is night and day. The responsiveness of the gold G strings allows for much faster ornamentation techniques essential in Zhuiqin music.

Beautiful craftsmanship
I was amazed by the finish on this Zhuihu. The grain of the Nanmu is stunning, and the instrument arrived perfectly set up. The large strings require a bit more finger strength but offer superior volume.

Solid traditional instrument
Very authentic sound profile. The Nanmu wood takes some time to open up fully, but after a few weeks of playing, the tone has become even richer. Shipping was secure and fast.
Q: Are the gold strings pre-installed or do I need to buy them separately?
A: The Gold G Strings are pre-installed on the instrument upon shipment, so it is ready to play right out of the box after minor bridge adjustment.
Q: Can I return this if the action is too high for my playing style?
A: Absolutely. We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in original condition. Additionally, our support team can provide video guidance on how to safely lower the action if you prefer to keep it.
Q: What is the scale length of this specific Zhuihu model?
A: This large-string professional model features a standard Henan Quhu scale length of approximately 42cm from nut to bridge, optimized for the deeper resonance required in opera performance.
Q: Is the Nanmu wood treated to prevent cracking in dry climates?
A: Yes, the Nanmu wood undergoes a traditional aging and stabilization process. However, we always recommend using a humidifier if you live in an extremely dry environment to maintain the instrument's longevity.
Q: Does this instrument come with a hard case for travel?
A: Yes, this professional model includes a sturdy hard case designed to protect the Zhuihu during transport, along with a bow, rosin, and an extra set of bridges.
