Authentic ancient special pure bark
The label says 'Ancient Special Pure Bark' and it lives up to the name. The color is naturally warm, not bleached white, which creates a beautiful vintage aesthetic for letter writing and classical poetry.

Exceptional quality for sutra copying
The texture of this Xuan paper is incredible. The blend of mulberry and sandalwood bark gives it just the right amount of resistance for small regular script. The semi-processed surface allows for precise ink control without bleeding.

Forgiving for learners

Great paper, slight variation in thickness
Overall a fantastic product. Since it is handmade, there are very slight variations in thickness between sheets, which is actually a sign of authenticity. Just be mindful when mounting large pieces.
