Nice addition to my tea set
Matches my purple clay teapot nicely. The only reason for 4 stars is that the drainage hole could be slightly wider for faster flow, but it works fine.

Beautiful natural patterns
Every piece seems unique due to the Jian water glaze technique. Mine has lovely subtle streaks. Very happy with this purchase.

Sturdy and functional
I was worried it might be fragile, but it feels quite solid. The reservoir holds enough water for a full session before needing to empty.

Excellent craftsmanship
You can tell this was made with care. The edges are smooth, and it sits flat on the table. Highly recommend for tea enthusiasts.

Great quality, slightly smaller than expected
The ceramic quality is outstanding and feels very premium. Just make sure to check the dimensions as it fits a standard gaiwan perfectly but might be tight for larger teapots.
Q: Can I use this with boiling water directly?
A: Yes, the high-fired ceramic is designed to withstand boiling water temperatures typically used in tea brewing.
Q: How do I clean the reservoir?
A: Simply rinse with warm water. For deep cleaning, you can use a soft brush. Avoid using strong chemical soaps as they can affect the taste of future teas.
Q: What is the maximum size teapot that fits?
A: It comfortably fits teapots up to 6 inches in diameter. Larger vessels may overhang the edges.
Q: Does this tray come with a draining hose?
A: No, this is a 'dry' tea tray with an internal reservoir. You simply pour out the collected water from the side opening after your session.
Q: Is the bottom of the tray glazed?
A: The top surface is fully glazed for easy cleaning, while the bottom remains unglazed to prevent slipping on smooth surfaces.
