Good for learning
As a beginner, the large characters on the pieces help me identify them quickly. The board is sturdy. I wish it came with a basic rule booklet, but otherwise great.

Excellent craftsmanship
I was impressed by the quality of the wood. It feels solid and heavy, not cheap or hollow. The engraving on the board is deep and clear, making it easy to read.

Portable and durable
I take this to the park often. The handle makes it easy to carry, and the case protects the pieces well. It has survived several trips in my backpack without damage.

Perfect size for family game nights
The board is substantial and the pieces are large enough that my kids don't struggle to pick them up. The foldable design makes it easy to store in our cabinet after playing.

Best gift for my grandfather
Bought this for my grandpa who loves Chinese Chess. He said the piece size is perfect for his hands and the board layout is traditional and accurate. Highly recommend!

Great value, minor finish issue
Overall a fantastic set for the price. One of the pieces had a tiny rough spot on the edge, but nothing a little sandpaper couldn't fix. The magnetic closure works well.
Q: What are the exact dimensions of the squares on the grid?
A: Each square on the grid measures approximately 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches, providing ample space for the large pieces.
Q: Are the Chinese characters on the pieces red and black or just engraved?
A: The characters are deeply engraved and filled with traditional red and black ink to ensure high contrast and readability.
Q: Does the board have magnets to hold the pieces in place when folded?
A: Yes, the board features a magnetic closure system to keep it securely shut while transporting, though the playing surface itself is not magnetic.
Q: Can I buy replacement pieces if one gets lost?
A: We do not sell individual pieces separately at this time, but the set is designed to be robust for long-term use. Please contact us if you experience any manufacturing defects.
Q: Is this set suitable for outdoor use on a picnic table?
A: While the solid wood is durable, we recommend using it under cover or bringing it indoors if it starts to rain, as prolonged exposure to moisture may affect the wood finish.
