Beautiful patina development
These walnuts are exquisite. The high polish gives them an immediate jade-like feel, and after just two weeks of daily handling, the patina is deepening beautifully. Perfect for my morning meditation routine.

Lovely gift item
Purchased this as a gift for my father who loves traditional hobbies. He was impressed by the velvet pouch and the shine of the walnuts. He uses them every evening.

Exceeded expectations
The lantern shape is very distinct compared to standard round walnuts. They fit perfectly in the palm and the weight distribution is excellent for prolonged holding sessions.

Authentic Northeast wild seeds
As a collector, I can confirm these are genuine wild autumn seeds from the northeast region. The grain pattern is complex and unique. Highly recommended for serious Wenwan enthusiasts.

Great quality but irregular size
The craftsmanship is top-notch and the wood feels very solid. Just note that because they are 'irregular hemp' style, the two nuts in the pair are slightly different sizes, which adds to the character but might not be for everyone.

Perfect for stress relief
I bought these for hand exercise while working at my desk. The texture is smooth enough not to snag skin but provides enough friction for a good grip. Very calming to rotate them.
Q: What is the approximate diameter of these walnuts?
A: Since these are natural wild seeds with an irregular hemp lantern shape, sizes vary slightly. Typically, the diameter ranges between 42mm and 46mm per nut.
Q: Can beginners use these, or are they for advanced collectors only?
A: These are suitable for all levels. Beginners will appreciate the smooth finish and stress-relief benefits, while advanced collectors will enjoy the unique grain and patina potential of the wild autumn seeds.
Q: Is the velvet pouch included suitable for long-term storage?
A: Yes, the included velvet pouch is breathable and designed to protect the walnuts from dust and scratches while allowing air circulation, making it ideal for daily storage.
Q: Do these come pre-oiled or do I need to apply oil myself?
A: These walnuts arrive with a high-polish finish ready for use. We recommend using only the natural oils from your hands during rotation to develop the patina; applying external oils is generally not necessary for this variety.
Q: How should I clean them if they get dirty?
A: Simply wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water, chemicals, or abrasive cleaners, as moisture can damage the natural wood structure and affect the patina development.
