Solid construction
Very well made. The hammering marks are deep and consistent. Took off one star because the mounting hole was slightly tight, but nothing a drill bit couldn't fix easily.

Nice look, specific sound
They look amazing with the black patina. However, the sound is very niche. If you want a standard crisp splash, this isn't it. It's much darker and grittier.

Incredible dark tones for jazz
These cymbals have exactly the dry, trashy sound I was looking for. The antique finish looks stunning on stage, and the hand-hammering gives each hit a unique character.

My new favorite effect cymbal
I bought the 15cm version and it sits perfectly in my setup. The decay is quick but musical. Highly recommended for adding texture to fills.

Great value but loud
The quality is impressive for the price. Be aware that even though they are small splash sizes, they cut through the mix very aggressively. Perfect for rock, maybe too bright for quiet studio work.

Authentic Beijing sound
As someone who plays traditional fusion, these capture the authentic Bo Rao sound perfectly. The manual copper craftsmanship is evident in the complex overtones.
Q: Does this come as a pair or a single cymbal?
A: This listing is for a single cymbal. If you need a pair for traditional playing, please adjust the quantity to two at checkout.
Q: Do you offer international shipping for this item?
A: Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note that shipping times vary by location, and any customs duties are the responsibility of the buyer.
Q: Is the black finish painted or natural patina?
A: The finish is a chemically induced natural patina that is then sealed. It is not paint, so it will not chip off like coated cymbals might.
Q: What is the actual weight of the 17cm model?
A: Due to the hand-hammered nature of these cymbals, weights vary slightly. The 17cm model typically weighs between 450g and 500g.
Q: Can these be used for heavy metal music?
A: While primarily designed for traditional and jazz styles, many metal drummers use them for specific effect shots due to their aggressive, cutting attack. They are durable enough for heavy hitting.
