Loud and bright
Very sharp attack. Not your typical western splash cymbal, which is exactly why I bought them. Takes some technique to get the best sound out of them.

Perfect for cultural performances
We bought these for a lion dance troupe. The pitch is high and cuts through the drums perfectly. Exactly what we were looking for in an old-style bo.

Great splash effect
I use these in my fusion jazz setup for specific accent pieces. They are louder than expected for their size, so be careful in small studios. Very responsive.

Authentic Traditional Sound
These cymbals have that distinct, piercing crackle needed for our theater production. The handmade quality is evident in the uneven hammer marks and rich tone.

Exceeded expectations
The patina on these is gorgeous. They sound complex with a long decay if you let them ring, or a quick chop if you grab them. Highly recommended for percussionists.

Beautiful craftsmanship
You can tell these are made by hand. The bronze alloy sings beautifully when struck correctly. They arrived well-packaged with traditional silk straps included.
Q: What is the difference between these and standard brass cymbals?
A: These are made from pure bronze and are hand-forged, offering a more complex, warmer, and culturally specific timbre compared to machine-made brass cymbals.
Q: How do I clean the oxidation on the surface?
A: The natural patina is part of the instrument's character and sound. We recommend only wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical polishes.
Q: Can I mount these on a standard cymbal stand?
A: They are designed to be held by hand using the silk straps, but experienced users have successfully mounted them on stands using felt washers to protect the metal.
Q: Do these come as a single cymbal or a pair?
A: These are sold as a matched pair, ready to be played together with the included silk cords.
Q: Are these suitable for a beginner drummer?
A: While beginners can use them, they require specific striking techniques common in traditional Chinese percussion to achieve the best sound without excessive harshness.
