Solid upgrade

Works exactly as described. The chrome finish is nice and resists rust well in my humid workshop. Only giving 4 stars because shipping took a little longer than expected, but the product itself is great.

Q: Can this handle metallic thread?

A: Absolutely. The polished interior surface reduces friction, making it suitable for metallic, nylon, and heavy cotton threads commonly used in embroidery and upholstery.

Q: Does this come with extra bobbins?

A: Yes, the set includes one large bobbin case and two compatible large flat bobbins to get you started immediately.

Q: Will this bobbin case work with a GC6-1 machine?

A: This specific case is designed for GC6-5 and GC6-7 models. While they look similar, the tension spring mechanism differs slightly for the GC6-1. We recommend checking your specific model number before purchasing.

Q: Is installation difficult for a beginner?

A: Not at all. It is a drop-in replacement. Simply remove the old case, clean the race hook area, and slide this new case in until it clicks into place. No tools are required.

Q: How do I adjust the tension on this case?

A: There is a small screw on the side of the case. Turn it clockwise slightly to increase tension and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Make small adjustments and test on scrap fabric each time.
