Solid performance
Using this to measure RPM on a custom RC car setup. It handles vibrations well and hasn't given any false readings. The only reason for 4 stars is the short cable length, but that's easily extendable.

Perfect for robotics projects

Easy to integrate

Great value, minor alignment needed
Good quality for the price. I had to spend a little time aligning the emitter and receiver to get the best range, but once set up, it counts pulses reliably. Highly recommended for DIY enthusiasts.

A: With a response time of under 10 microseconds, this sensor can accurately track speeds exceeding 20,000 RPM depending on the number of slots in your code disk.
Q: Is this sensor suitable for outdoor use in direct sunlight?
A: While the infrared filter helps, direct intense sunlight can interfere with optical sensors. We recommend shielding the sensor or using it in shaded areas for outdoor applications.
