Excellent precision for robotics projects
I used this sensor for a self-balancing robot and the data is incredibly stable. The fusion algorithm inside the module works great right out of the box. Setup was easy using the provided software.

Good value, minor documentation gaps
The sensor performs well for the price point. Angle measurements are accurate enough for my drone stabilization needs. I wish the English manual had more examples for custom baud rate configuration, but online forums helped.

Best in class for the price
Compared to other modules in this range, the JY61P offers superior noise rejection. The dynamic response is fast, making it ideal for real-time control loops.

Perfect for university projects
Bought this for my final year engineering project. It provides consistent attitude angles without much drift. The support team was also very helpful when I had questions about the protocol.

Solid performance under vibration
Tested this on a vehicle mount. Despite engine vibrations, the filtered output remains smooth. Deducting one star only because the mounting holes are a bit small for standard standoffs.
Q: What is the latency of the data output?
A: The latency is very low, typically less than 5ms depending on the baud rate and filter settings configured. It is optimized for real-time applications.
Q: Does this module come with a cable included?
A: Yes, the package typically includes a 4-pin connection cable. Please check your specific seller's listing for confirmation.
Q: Can I change the output frequency from the default setting?
A: Absolutely. You can configure the output frequency, baud rate, and range settings using our free PC configuration software via USB-to-TTL adapter.
Q: Do you provide sample code for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, we provide Python sample scripts and C libraries on our official GitHub repository and website download section compatible with Raspberry Pi.
Q: Is the JY61P suitable for outdoor use in rain?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. For outdoor use, we recommend enclosing it in a waterproof case while ensuring the antenna or vents are managed appropriately if needed.
