Does exactly what it says
No-light detection works flawlessly. I adjusted the pot to ignore ambient street light coming through the window, and it only triggers when I turn off the main room light. Highly recommended.

Good value, clear instructions needed
The hardware quality is solid and the relay clicks nicely. It took me a moment to figure out the wiring for the NO/NC terminals, but once set up, it has been reliable for weeks.

Compact and functional
Small footprint fits well in tight enclosures. The only minor issue is that the solder pads are a bit close together, so be careful if you are hand-soldering wires directly.

Perfect for my night light project
This module worked exactly as described. I connected it to an Arduino to control a strip of LEDs when the room gets dark. The sensitivity potentiometer makes it very easy to calibrate the trigger point.

Reliable switching mechanism
I am using this to trigger a fan when a cabinet door closes and blocks the light. The relay handles the small motor load without any issues. Very stable performance.
Q: Does this come with jumper wires?
A: No, the package includes only the sensor module. Jumper wires and power supplies need to be purchased separately based on your specific project requirements.
Q: Is the output signal analog or digital?
A: The output is digital (High/Low). When the light condition meets the threshold set by the potentiometer, the output pin switches state to trigger the relay.
Q: Can this module directly control a 12V LED strip?
A: Yes, the relay contacts can switch up to 30V DC. You would power the LED strip with your 12V source and use the relay terminals (COM and NO) to break or make the connection.
Q: What is the maximum current the relay can handle?
A: The relay is rated for 10A at 250VAC or 10A at 30VDC. Please ensure your load does not exceed these specifications to prevent damage.
Q: Can I reverse the logic to trigger on light instead of no-light?
A: This specific model is designed for No-Light detection. To trigger on light presence, you would need to use the Normally Closed (NC) terminal instead of the Normally Open (NO) terminal, effectively inverting the physical circuit behavior.
