Exceeded expectations

Reliable and consistent
Bought ten of these for a classroom kit. All of them worked out of the box without any issues. The touch detection is consistent even with different materials covering the sensor.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity is adjustable via the solder pads, and it responded instantly to touch. Great value for the price.

Great sensor, watch the voltage
Works great at 3.3V and 5V. Just make sure you don't exceed the max voltage rating. The output is clean and easy to read with a microcontroller.

Good quality, small size
The module is very compact and fits well in tight spaces. It took a little trial and error to get the sensitivity right for my specific project casing, but overall a solid product.
Q: How do I change the sensitivity of the touch sensor?
A: There are solder pads on the back of the PCB labeled 'A' and 'B'. Shorting specific pads changes the capacitance threshold, allowing you to adjust sensitivity. Please refer to the datasheet for the configuration table.
Q: What is the maximum thickness of material that can cover the sensor and still work?
A: It typically works through non-conductive materials like plastic or glass up to about 5-10mm thick, though this varies based on the material type and sensitivity settings.
Q: Is the output latching or momentary by default?
A: The default configuration is usually momentary (output goes high only while touched), but this can be changed to latching mode by modifying the solder jumpers on the board.
Q: Does this come with header pins soldered?
A: No, the module comes with a separate strip of header pins in the package so you can choose to solder them yourself or use jumper wires directly depending on your needs.
Q: Can this module work directly with a 3.3V Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, the TTP223 operates between 2.0V and 5.5V, so it is fully compatible with 3.3V logic levels used by the Raspberry Pi.
