Great replacement for mechanical buttons
Replaced old mechanical switches in my kitchen light controller with these. The sleek look and lack of moving parts make them much more durable. Highly recommended.

Reliable and low power
I am using these in a battery-powered device, and the low standby current is a huge plus. The momentary mode switch configuration was simple to set up with a solder bridge.

Bulk buy for our workshop
Purchased the 16-channel variant for a student workshop. All channels worked out of the box. Documentation could be better, but there are plenty of online tutorials for these chips.

Good sensitivity, needs calibration
The touch sensitivity is high, which is great, but you might need to adjust the capacitor values if you are using thick acrylic over the sensor. Once tuned, it works flawlessly.

Perfect for my Arduino projects
These modules are incredibly responsive and easy to integrate. I used the 4-channel version for a custom control panel, and the self-locking mode works exactly as described. Great value for money.

Works well but sensitive to noise
Functionality is good, but I noticed some false triggers when placed near a high-frequency motor. Adding a small filter capacitor solved the issue, but keep this in mind for noisy environments.
Q: What is the maximum thickness of the material I can place over the sensor?
A: Generally, non-metallic materials up to 10mm thick work well. However, sensitivity decreases with thickness, so you may need to increase the sensor pad area or adjust capacitance for thicker covers.
Q: How do I switch between self-locking and momentary mode?
A: Most boards have a solder pad labeled 'TOG'. Closing the pad sets it to self-locking (toggle), while leaving it open sets it to momentary. Please check the specific silkscreen on your board version.
Q: Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity if it's too high?
A: Yes, you can add a small external capacitor (typically 0-50pF) to the input pad to reduce sensitivity, or reduce the size of the copper trace acting as the touch pad.
Q: Does the 8-channel version require an I2C interface?
A: No, these modules typically provide individual digital output pins for each channel. They do not use I2C communication unless specifically noted as a different variant.
Q: Can I use this module directly with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, the operating voltage range is 2.0V to 5.5V, so it is fully compatible with 3.3V logic systems without needing a level shifter.
