Robust and reliable

Solid performance
We bought ten of these for our makerspace. Most work flawlessly. One unit had a slightly loose terminal screw, but tightening it fixed the issue. Overall great purchase.

Great value, needs careful alignment
Good quality for the price. You need to make sure the emitter and receiver are perfectly aligned in the slot, otherwise it won't trigger. Once set up, it has been very reliable for my automation prototype.

Easy to integrate with PLC

Perfect for my conveyor counter project

Fast shipping and great product

Q: What is the maximum current this output can switch directly?
A: The output transistor can typically handle up to 100mA. For driving higher load devices like large relays or motors, we recommend using an intermediate relay or driver circuit.
Q: Is the mounting hole spacing standard for breadboards?
A: The screw terminal block is designed for secure wiring rather than direct breadboard insertion. However, the board dimensions are compact enough to be mounted next to a breadboard using standoffs.
Q: Can this sensor detect transparent objects like glass or clear plastic?
A: While it can detect some transparent materials, through-beam sensors generally work best with opaque objects. For clear glass, you may need to adjust the sensitivity or use a specialized reflective sensor.
Q: Does this come with a power supply included?
A: No, the package includes only the sensor module. You will need to provide your own DC power supply within the 5V-24V range.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in the rain?
A: This module is not weatherproof or IP-rated. It should only be used indoors or inside a protective enclosure if used in environments with dust or moisture.
