Good value for money
Solid build quality for the price point. It responds quickly to temperature changes. Just make sure you use a pull-up resistor on your data line, or it won't communicate.

Survived winter outdoors
Left this outside in a compost bin monitor all winter. Despite freezing temperatures and snow, it kept reporting data without any issues. Very impressed with the encapsulation.

Easy to integrate
Plug and play with ESP32 boards. The 1-wire protocol makes wiring simple even for beginners. Accuracy seems spot on for home automation tasks.

Perfect for my hydroponic setup
This probe is exactly what I needed. The stainless steel casing feels very durable, and the waterproof seal holds up perfectly in my nutrient reservoir. Readings are consistent with my calibrated thermometer.

Reliable and accurate
I've been using these sensors in multiple saltwater tanks for six months now. No corrosion on the steel and no water ingress. Highly recommended for marine environments.

Great sensor, cable could be longer
Works flawlessly with my Arduino project for monitoring fermentation temps. The only reason for 4 stars is that I wish the cable was 3 meters instead of 2, but otherwise, it's a solid product.
Q: Does it come with a connector or just raw wires?
A: This unit comes with three raw, tinned wires (Red for VCC, Black/Yellow for GND, and Blue/White for Data) to allow for custom integration. Connectors are not included but can be easily soldered on.
Q: What is the diameter of the stainless steel probe?
A: The outer diameter of the stainless steel encapsulated tip is approximately 6mm (0.24 inches), making it suitable for insertion into standard fittings and small containers.
Q: Can this measure liquid nitrogen temperatures?
A: No, this sensor has an operating range of -55°C to +125°C. Liquid nitrogen is approximately -196°C, which is far below the minimum operating limit of this device and would likely damage it.
Q: How long is the warranty period?
A: We provide a standard 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover damage caused by exceeding voltage limits, physical crushing of the cable, or modification of the sensor.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, this DS18B20 sensor is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi. You will need to enable the 1-Wire interface in the Pi's configuration settings and connect a 4.7k ohm pull-up resistor between the data and power lines.
