Reliable and cheap

Bought three of these for different rooms. All of them provide similar readings, which gives me confidence in their consistency. The YS-31 board layout is clean and easy to solder if you need to extend wires.

Perfect for beginner projects

This DHT11 module worked straight out of the box with my Arduino Uno. The included cable made wiring very simple, and the readings were consistent with my room thermometer. Great value for the price.

Works but limited range

The sensor works fine for standard room temperatures, but don't expect it to work in extreme cold or heat. For the price point, it's acceptable, but upgrade to a DHT22 if you need wider ranges.

Good basic sensor

Does exactly what it says. It's not the most precise sensor on the market, but for monitoring general room conditions in a smart home project, it is perfectly adequate. Setup took less than 10 minutes.

Easy to integrate

I was worried about the single-bus protocol being tricky, but there are plenty of libraries available. The module is compact and the cable quality seems decent. Highly recommend for students.

Solid performance for indoor use

Using this to monitor humidity in my indoor herb garden. It responds quickly to changes when I mist the plants. Just remember it's not waterproof, so keep it dry.

A: This specific module is not waterproof or weather-resistant. It is designed for indoor use only. For outdoor applications, please look for sensors with an IP67 rating or protective housing.

Q: What is the sampling rate for this sensor?

A: The DHT11 sensor has a sampling rate of approximately 1Hz, meaning it can provide a new reading once every second. We recommend waiting at least 2 seconds between reads for stable data.

Q: Does the package include example code?

A: The physical package includes the hardware module and cable only. However, you can easily find open-source libraries and example code for Arduino and Raspberry Pi on GitHub or the official documentation sites.
