Excellent precision for our testing rig

We integrated this S-Type load cell into our material testing station. The RS485 communication is stable and the data reads consistently without drift. Setup with our PLC was straightforward using the Modbus protocol.

Great value, minor documentation issues

The sensor itself works perfectly and handles both tension and compression as advertised. The only reason for 4 stars is that the manual could be more detailed regarding register mapping for third-party displays.

Perfect for hopper scales

Replaced an older analog-only unit with this digital/analog hybrid. The ability to switch outputs gives us great flexibility. Calibration was quick and the zero point remains stable.

Q: Can I use this for dynamic force measurement or only static loads?

A: This sensor is primarily designed for static or quasi-static measurements. For high-frequency dynamic applications, please contact us for a specialized model with higher sampling rates.

Q: Is the analog output simultaneous with the digital RS485 output?

A: Yes, both the analog voltage/current signal and the digital RS485 data are available simultaneously, allowing you to feed two different systems at once.

Q: Do you provide a calibration certificate with the unit?

A: Standard units come with a factory test report. An accredited ISO calibration certificate is available as an optional add-on during checkout.

Q: Does this sensor support direct connection to a PC without an additional module?

A: Yes, you can connect it directly to a PC using a USB-to-RS485 converter. You will need terminal software that supports Modbus RTU to read the data.

Q: What is the maximum overload capacity before permanent damage occurs?

A: The safe overload limit is 150% of the rated capacity. Ultimate overload is 200%, but exceeding 150% may require recalibration.
