Solid performance
We bought ten of these for our workshop. Most worked perfectly out of the box. One required a slight solder touch-up, but overall, they are consistent performers.

Great for learning electronics
Bought this for a university project on IoT. The documentation was clear enough to get started, and the module is robust. Highly recommend for beginners.

Good module, needs calibration
The build quality is solid. I had to spend a few minutes calibrating the threshold for my specific use case, but once set, it detects raindrops instantly. The separate PCB design is convenient.

Exceeded expectations
The large area sensor pad makes it very responsive. Even light drizzle triggers the output. The compact size fits well into my custom enclosure.

Reliable water detection
I used this to control my garden irrigation system. It successfully stops the sprinklers when it starts raining. The 5V relay control interface made integration very simple.

Perfect for my weather station project
This sensor works exactly as described. The sensitivity is easy to adjust with the potentiometer, and it triggers reliably when water hits the board. Great value for the price.
Q: Does this come with connecting wires?
A: The package includes the sensor module and the separate PCB board, but jumper wires are not included. You will need to source those separately.
Q: What is the maximum current the onboard relay can handle?
A: This specific module provides a digital signal output to control an external relay; it does not have a built-in high-power relay. You will need to connect an external relay module.
Q: Can this module be used directly with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, but you should use a voltage divider or logic level converter for the output signal to ensure safe communication, as the module operates at 5V.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: Locate the blue potentiometer on the board. Turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity (trigger with less water) or counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Q: Is the separate PCB board waterproof?
A: The sensor pad is designed to get wet, but the electronic components on the main board are not waterproof. Please protect the circuitry from direct water exposure.
