Stable readings after warm-up

I use this for monitoring aquarium water. After letting it warm up for about 15 minutes, the readings are very consistent. The BNC connector makes it easy to swap probes if needed in the future.

Works as advertised

The module detects changes in pH quickly. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the probe requires storage in a specific solution when not in use, which wasn't clearly highlighted in the quick start guide.

Great for university projects

Used this for my final year project on soil acidity. The analog output is easy to read with an ADC, and the temperature sensor integration saved me from building a separate circuit. Highly recommended for students.

Good value, needs careful calibration

The hardware quality is solid for the price. Temperature compensation works well. Just remember that you must calibrate it frequently for accurate results. The documentation could be slightly more detailed on the algorithm logic.

Excellent for DIY Hydroponics

Filtering algorithm is a game changer

I've used other cheap pH sensors before, and the noise was unbearable. The provided examples with the moving average filter make the data usable immediately. Very happy with this purchase.

Q: Is the temperature sensor built into the probe or the module board?

A: The temperature sensor is integrated into the probe tip alongside the pH electrode to ensure accurate real-time temperature compensation at the measurement point.

Q: Does this module come with calibration powder or buffer solutions?

A: No, the module includes the sensor board and probe only. You will need to purchase pH 4.01, 7.00, and 10.01 buffer solutions separately for calibration.

Q: What microcontrollers are supported by the example code?

A: The current library supports Arduino Uno, Mega, Nano, and ESP32. We also provide a Python script example for Raspberry Pi users in the GitHub repository linked in the manual.

Q: Can I use this sensor directly in saltwater environments?

A: Yes, the probe is suitable for saltwater applications like aquariums or marine tanks. However, please rinse the probe with distilled water after each use to prevent salt crystallization on the glass bulb.

Q: How often does the probe need to be replaced?

A: Under normal usage and proper storage conditions, the probe typically lasts 1 to 2 years. If you notice slow response times or an inability to calibrate, it may be time for a replacement.
