Great value, minor setup learning curve
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. It took me a little while to configure the baud rates correctly via the software, but once set up, the data logging is consistent and accurate. The probes feel durable.

Good accuracy, fast shipping
Compared the readings against a calibrated laboratory thermometer, and the deviation was negligible. The only reason for 4 stars is that the manual could be more detailed regarding advanced register mapping.
Q: Are the temperature probes waterproof?
A: The standard stainless steel probe tips are water-resistant and suitable for humid environments, but the junction where the cable meets the probe is not fully submersible. For underwater use, please look for our IP68 rated variants.
Q: Can this module connect directly to a PC without an additional converter?
A: No, since this module uses RS485 signaling, you will need an RS485-to-USB converter adapter to connect it directly to a standard PC USB port.
Q: How do I change the device address if two modules conflict?
A: You can change the slave address using our free configuration software via the serial connection. Ensure only one device is connected to the bus when changing addresses to avoid conflicts.
Q: Does this support Modbus TCP over Ethernet?
A: No, this specific model only supports Modbus RTU over RS485. If you require Ethernet/TCP functionality, please check our 'Multi-Channel WiFi/ETH Temperature Gateway' product line.
Q: What is the maximum cable length supported for the RS485 connection?
