Works as described
Simple to wire up if you have basic soldering skills. Just remember it outputs a logic signal, so you need a microcontroller or transistor to drive a load like an LED or relay.

Great for hidden installations
Because of its miniature size, I was able to hide this behind a decorative plate for an automatic light switch. No one knows it's there until the lights turn on!

Reliable and compact
I've tested this against more expensive brands and the performance is nearly identical. The low power consumption makes it ideal for battery-operated devices.

High sensitivity in a tiny package
We used these for a classroom robotics kit. They are robust enough for student handling and the detection range is consistent across all units we ordered.

Good value but needs calibration
Works well once you get the resistor and capacitor values right for your specific delay time. The form factor is much better than the standard HC-SR501 for tight spaces.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This SR602 module is incredibly small and fits perfectly into my compact smart home sensor node. The sensitivity is excellent and it detects motion reliably from about 3 meters away.
Q: Is there a datasheet available for pinout details?
A: Absolutely. You can find the full datasheet with pinout diagrams and recommended circuit schematics in the 'Documents' section of the product page.
Q: Can this directly drive a 12V relay?
A: No, the output current is too low. You should use the output signal to trigger a transistor or MOSFET which can then switch the 12V relay.
Q: What is the maximum detection distance?
A: Under ideal conditions with a standard human target, the effective detection range is approximately 3 to 5 meters, depending on ambient temperature and obstacles.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: The SR602 sensitivity is generally fixed by the internal design, but the detection delay and trigger mode can be adjusted by changing the external timing resistor and capacitor values connected to the module.
Q: Does this module come with a Fresnel lens included?
A: Yes, the SR602 module typically comes with a small integrated Fresnel lens pre-attached to focus the infrared radiation onto the sensor element.
