Works well after calibration
Initially got some jittery readings, but after adding a simple averaging filter in the code, it became very stable. Good product for the learning curve.

Reliable and consistent
I've bought ten of these for various prototypes. They are consistent in their readings and handle minor vibrations well. Highly recommended for smart car applications.

Good budget sensor
Does exactly what it says. It's not industrial grade, but for a university project or hobbyist DIY car, it is more than sufficient. Just make sure you have a stable 5V power supply.

Perfect for my obstacle avoidance robot
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno project. The range is accurate up to about 3 meters in my testing, and the code libraries are easy to find online. Great value for the price.

Easy to use for beginners
Bought this for my son's science fair project. We found plenty of tutorials online to get it working within an hour. The pins are clearly labeled which helped a lot.

Best bang for your buck
You cannot beat this price for an ultrasonic sensor. It arrived quickly and was packaged securely. No dead pixels or damaged pins. Will buy again.
Q: How does rain or outdoor humidity affect performance?
A: While the sensor can function outdoors, heavy rain, fog, or extreme humidity can absorb or scatter ultrasonic waves, leading to inaccurate readings. It is best used in dry conditions or indoors.
Q: What is the minimum distance this sensor can detect?
A: The minimum measurable distance is approximately 2cm. Objects closer than this may not be detected reliably or may return invalid readings.
Q: Can this sensor work with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, but you need a voltage divider or a logic level converter for the Echo pin, as the sensor outputs 5V logic which can damage 3.3V boards. The Trig pin usually works fine directly.
Q: Is there a library available for Python on Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, there are several popular libraries such as 'gpiozero' and 'RPi.GPIO' that have built-in support or examples for the HC-SR04 sensor.
Q: Does this module come with jumper wires?
A: No, this package includes only the sensor module itself. Jumper wires are sold separately, but standard female-to-female Dupont wires work perfectly.
