Good accuracy, needs warm-up
The sensor works well once it has warmed up for a few minutes. Initial readings can be a bit erratic, but after stabilization, the VOC and CO2 data looks reliable. Just remember to account for the warm-up time in your code.

Excellent for indoor air monitoring
I used this to monitor air quality in my workshop. It picks up formaldehyde spikes when I'm using new wood adhesives. The compact size made it easy to fit into a custom enclosure.

Works but power consumption is high
The sensor functions as advertised, but it draws more current than I expected during the heating phase. Not ideal for battery-powered projects unless you put it to sleep frequently.

Solid hardware, documentation could be better
The hardware quality is top-notch and the pinout is standard. However, the protocol description for the formaldehyde data packet was a bit vague. Had to do some trial and error to parse it correctly.

Great sensitivity
Very sensitive to changes in air quality. I tested it by spraying a little perfume nearby, and the VOC levels jumped immediately. Helps me know exactly when to open the windows.

Perfect for my smart home project
This module integrates easily with my ESP32 setup. The UART output is stable, and the readings seem consistent when compared to my standalone CO2 meter. Great value for a 3-in-1 sensor.
Q: Does this module come with a library for Arduino?
A: We do not provide an official library, but the communication protocol is standard UART. Many users have created open-source libraries available on GitHub that work perfectly with this module.
Q: What is the lifespan of the sensor element?
A: Under normal operating conditions, the sensor element typically lasts between 2 to 3 years. Lifespan may vary depending on exposure to extreme contaminants or continuous high-concentration environments.
Q: Does it require calibration out of the box?
A: The module comes pre-calibrated from the factory. However, we recommend allowing it to run in fresh air for about 24 hours periodically to allow for automatic baseline correction, especially for the CO2 sensor.
Q: Is the output analog or digital?
A: The output is digital via a UART (TTL) interface. It does not provide analog voltage outputs for the gas concentrations.
Q: Can this detect carbon monoxide (CO)?
A: No, this specific model detects VOCs, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and Formaldehyde (HCHO). It does not detect Carbon Monoxide (CO). Please check our store for dedicated CO sensors if needed.
