Incredible precision for non-contact sensing

I integrated this LD6002 module into a smart home sleep monitor prototype. The ability to detect breathing and heart rate without any wearable straps is impressive. The UART output is clean and easy to parse with an ESP32. Highly recommended for IoT developers.

Perfect for health monitoring projects

Used this for a university project on elderly care monitoring. It successfully detects when a person is in bed and monitors their respiratory rate. The form factor is small enough to hide inside a bedside lamp casing. Very satisfied with the performance.

Solid performance, clear documentation

The datasheet provided by Hi-Link was helpful in getting started quickly. The module responds fast to movement changes. I deducted one star because the cable connector is a bit fragile, but the sensor itself is top-notch.

Best mmWave module in this price range

I have tested several radar modules, and the LD6002 offers the best balance of cost and capability. The micro-motion detection is sensitive enough to pick up chest expansion from breathing even through thin blankets. Excellent product.

Reliable and low power

Power consumption is lower than expected, which is great for battery-operated devices. The data stream is consistent, and I haven't experienced any dropouts during week-long testing. A must-have for advanced presence sensing applications.

Great sensor, needs careful calibration

The hardware quality is excellent and the 60GHz frequency provides good resolution. However, getting stable readings required some tuning of the distance parameters in the firmware. Once calibrated, it works very well for presence detection and vital signs.

A: Absolutely. Since this is a radar-based sensor using radio waves, it does not rely on visible light and functions perfectly in total darkness.

A: Yes, the 60GHz millimeter wave technology can penetrate light materials like clothing and thin blankets to detect micro-motions associated with heartbeat and breathing.
