Easy to use for beginners
I am new to electronics, and this module was very easy to connect to my starter kit. The online tutorials for the larger version work mostly the same for this one. Just remember to check the voltage requirements.

Perfect for small IoT projects
This sensor is incredibly compact compared to the standard HC-SR501. It fit perfectly inside my small enclosure for a battery-powered hallway light. The sensitivity is good, and it detects motion reliably up to about 2.5 meters in my testing.

Great size, needs calibration
The form factor is exactly what I needed for my wearable project. However, you need to spend some time adjusting the potentiometers to get the delay and sensitivity just right. Once tuned, it works very well.

Good but short range
It works as advertised, but don't expect long-range detection. In my open office test, it maxed out around 2 meters reliably. For close-proximity alerts or small rooms, it is excellent.

Low power consumption confirmed
I measured the current draw, and it really does stay under 60uA when idle. This makes it ideal for projects running on coin cell batteries. The output signal is clean and easy to read with an Arduino.

Excellent replacement for bulky sensors
Finally, a PIR sensor that doesn't dominate the PCB layout. The pinout is standard, so swapping it into existing designs was trivial. Highly recommended for space-constrained builds.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V Arduino boards?
A: Yes, the module operates between 3.0V and 5.0V, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V Arduino boards like the Uno and Nano without needing a logic level converter.
Q: Does this come with headers soldered?
A: No, the module is typically shipped without headers to save space and allow for flexible mounting. You will need to solder your own 3-pin header or wires to the GND, VCC, and OUT pads.
Q: What is the difference between H and L trigger modes?
A: In 'H' (Repeatable) mode, the output stays high as long as motion is continuously detected. In 'L' (Unrepeatable) mode, once motion triggers the sensor, the output goes high for the set blocking time regardless of continued motion, then resets.
Q: How do I adjust the sensing distance?
