Reliable speed sensing
I installed two of these on my smart car chassis to monitor wheel speed. They are responsive and haven't failed even after weeks of testing. Highly recommend for hobbyist robotics.

Stable performance

Perfect for Arduino Projects

Good value, works as expected
Solid sensor for the price. It detects magnets reliably within a reasonable distance. I deducted one star because the soldering points on the PCB were a bit small for thick wires, but otherwise great.

Great for tachometer builds

Easy to use for beginners
As someone new to electronics, I appreciated how simple this module is. Just three pins and it works immediately. The included guide explained the polarity clearly.

A: The 3144 Hall effect switch typically supports switching frequencies up to several kHz, which is sufficient for most motor speed and RPM applications.
Q: Can this be used directly with a 5V Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, the module operates between 4.5V and 24V, so it is fully compatible with 5V Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Ensure you connect the ground common to both devices.
Q: Is the output active high or active low?
A: The output is active low. When a magnetic south pole is detected near the sensing face, the output pin goes to a low state (GND).
Q: Can this sensor detect north poles?
A: The standard 3144 unipolar switch generally responds to a single magnetic pole (usually South). For detecting both poles, you would need a bipolar latch version, though some variants may vary slightly by manufacturer.
Q: Does this module come with a magnet?
