Good value, small footprint
Great little module for the price. It fits perfectly in tight enclosures. Only giving 4 stars because the pin headers were not included, but that's a minor issue.

Reliable outdoor use

Easy to integrate

Accurate and fast response
I needed a sensor that reacts quickly to light changes for an automatic lighting project. The BH1750FVI chip on this board delivers exactly that. Highly recommended.

Perfect for my weather station
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino setup. The readings are consistent and match my standalone lux meter very closely. Setup was easy using standard libraries.

A: Yes, the GY-30 module includes a voltage regulator and level shifting, so it is safe to use with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like Arduino Uno.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32?
A: Yes, there are several open-source libraries compatible with the ESP32 ecosystem. You can search for 'BH1750' in the Arduino Library Manager which supports ESP32.
Q: What is the maximum cable length for I2C connection?
A: For reliable I2C communication, we recommend keeping cable lengths under 30cm. For longer distances, you may need an I2C extender or buffer.
