Perfect for long-distance readings
The narrow angle on this sensor is exactly what I needed for my industrial monitoring project. It accurately reads temperatures from over a meter away without interference from surrounding heat sources.

Great module, easy to interface
Works flawlessly with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The I2C library support is robust. Only giving 4 stars because the pin headers were not pre-soldered, but that's minor.

Solid performance for automation
Using this for conveyor belt monitoring. The response time is quick enough for our speed requirements. Documentation could be slightly more detailed regarding calibration registers.
Q: Can I use this outdoors?
A: The sensor itself operates within -40°C to +85°C, but the PCB is not waterproof. For outdoor use, please house it in an IP-rated enclosure with a clear IR window.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V logic systems?
A: Absolutely. The module supports a supply voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and includes level shifting for safe I2C communication with 5V microcontrollers.
Q: Does it come with example code?
A: Yes, we provide a link to a GitHub repository containing example libraries for Arduino, ESP32, and Python (Raspberry Pi) in the product manual PDF.
Q: Can this sensor measure moving objects?
A: Yes, thanks to its 0.5s response time, it is suitable for measuring temperatures of slowly to moderately moving objects on production lines.
