Good sensitivity, easy to calibrate
I used this for a custom keyboard switch prototype. It took a little bit of code calibration to get the thresholds right, but once set up, the sensor is very reliable. Great value for the price.

Reliable for prototyping
We ordered several of these for our lab. They are consistent across units and handle the wear and tear of student projects well. The long tail version is definitely preferred over the short pin versions.

Great for learning sensors
Bought this for a university project on human-machine interfaces. It was easy to integrate and the documentation provided by the seller was helpful. Slightly sensitive to temperature changes but manageable.

Plug and play with microcontrollers
Connected directly to an ESP32 analog pin. No extra components needed other than what's on the module. The output voltage scales linearly with pressure in the specified range.

Perfect for my robotics project
This module works exactly as described. The long tail cable made it very easy to connect to my Arduino without needing extension wires. The voltage conversion is smooth and responsive to light touches.

Excellent build quality
The thin film feels durable despite being so flexible. I've tested it with repeated presses and it hasn't lost accuracy. The included breakout board simplifies the circuit design significantly.
Q: What is the maximum weight this sensor can detect before saturating?
A: The sensor is designed for forces up to approximately 20 Newtons (about 2 kg or 4.4 lbs). Applying force beyond this range may result in saturated output or potential damage to the thin film.
Q: Does this module require an external resistor to work?
A: No, this voltage conversion module has the necessary resistors built onto the PCB, so you can connect it directly to your microcontroller's analog input.
Q: How do I mount this sensor to a surface?
A: The back of the sensor has an adhesive layer. For best results, clean the surface with alcohol before peeling the backing and pressing firmly. Avoid bending the sensor at sharp angles near the tail connection.
Q: Can I cut the long tail cable to make it shorter?
A: Yes, you can cut the cable to your desired length. However, please ensure you strip and re-tin the ends carefully if you plan to solder them to a connector, avoiding damage to the insulation.
Q: Is this compatible with 3.3V logic systems like the Raspberry Pi?
A: Absolutely. The module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers without level shifters.
