Will buy again
Helpful product page and smooth experience overall.
Q: What is the maximum load before the sensor breaks?
A: While the recommended range is up to 100N, applying excessive point loads over 200N may damage the thin-film element permanently. We recommend distributing the force evenly.
Q: Does this come with a breakout board?
A: This listing is for the raw FSR402 sensor element with a connector tail. A separate breakout board is available in our store if you need easier integration.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, but since the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins do not have built-in ADCs, you will need an external Analog-to-Digital Converter (like the MCP3008) to read the sensor's output.
Q: How long is the cable tail?
A: The flexible printed circuit tail extending from the active area is approximately 76mm (3 inches) long, which is sufficient for most breadboard connections.
Q: Can this sensor measure weight in grams directly?
A: The sensor outputs an analog voltage based on resistance change due to force. You will need to calibrate it with known weights in your microcontroller code to convert the reading to grams.
