Perfect for robotics projects
The 808nm wavelength is truly invisible which is great for my drone project. The phase measurement is very stable even in varying light conditions. Integration with my microcontroller was straightforward.

Excellent value for money

Good for indoor ranging
Works flawlessly indoors. Outdoor performance drops slightly in direct sunlight as expected with IR, but still usable within shorter ranges. Very happy with the purchase.

Fast response time
I needed a sensor with low latency for obstacle avoidance, and this delivers. The <100ms response time is accurate. The invisible laser is a nice bonus so it doesn't distract users.

High precision but needs calibration
Great sensor module overall. The accuracy is impressive once you calibrate it for your specific environment. Documentation could be slightly more detailed regarding the command set.

A: While the phase shift method is robust, very dark or absorbent surfaces may reduce the maximum effective range. We recommend testing with your specific target material for critical applications.

A: The standard pinout is VCC, GND, TX, and RX. Please refer to the datasheet included in the download section for the specific pin ordering on the connector header.
