Perfect for our construction site scales
We installed these modules on our rebar weighing stations last month. The setup was straightforward, and the full-bridge support handled our existing load cells without any issues. Data transmission via RS-485 has been rock solid even in a dusty environment.

Great value, minor documentation gaps
The hardware quality is excellent for the price point. It reads strain gauges accurately and the 5-channel capacity is exactly what we needed. I deducted one star because the Modbus register map in the manual could be more detailed, but support helped us figure it out quickly.

Robust industrial design
This module feels built to last. The aluminum housing dissipates heat well, and the terminal blocks are secure. We have it running in a semi-outdoor shelter, and the IP65 rating seems to be holding up against humidity and dust perfectly.

Stable readings under heavy load
I use this for monitoring tension in structural testing. The stability of the readings is impressive; there is very little drift even after hours of operation. The ability to switch between single and full bridge configurations makes it very versatile for different sensor types.

Solid performance for data logging
Integrated easily with our PLC system. The sampling rate is sufficient for our static weighing applications. It would be nice to have an Ethernet option in the future, but for RS-485 networks, this is a top-tier choice.

Exceeded expectations
Bought this to replace an older proprietary system. The 5-channel independence allows us to monitor multiple rebar bundles simultaneously with high precision. Calibration was simple, and the zero-tracking feature works great.
Q: Can I mix single-bridge and full-bridge sensors on the same unit?
A: Yes, each of the 5 channels can be configured independently, allowing you to mix single-bridge and full-bridge sensors simultaneously on the same module.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for the sensors?
A: For optimal signal integrity, we recommend keeping sensor cable lengths under 50 meters. If longer distances are required, shielded cables and proper grounding are essential.
Q: Is the Modbus protocol compatible with Python scripts?
A: Absolutely. Since it uses standard Modbus RTU over RS-485, you can easily interface with it using Python libraries like pymodbus or minimalmodbus.
Q: Can this module power the strain gauges directly?
A: Yes, the module provides a regulated excitation voltage output suitable for powering standard strain gauge bridges directly.
Q: Does it support tare function remotely?
A: Yes, the tare (zero) function can be triggered remotely by sending a specific write command to the control register via the Modbus interface.
