Great for learning I2C
Bought this for a university project. The documentation online is plentiful, making it very easy to get started with I2C communication. Temperature compensation seems accurate as well.

Works well in enclosure
I placed this inside a waterproof enclosure for outdoor garden monitoring. It handles the environment well, though you need to ensure the enclosure isn't completely airtight if you want real-time pressure changes.

Good precision, easy to wire
Used this for a small DIY drone altimeter. It provides stable altitude data. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the soldering pads are a bit small for beginners, but once connected, it works great.

Perfect for weather stations
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The library support is excellent, and the pressure readings are consistent when compared to my local weather station data. Great value for the price.

Simple setup
As someone new to electronics, I was worried about compatibility. This module worked immediately with the standard Adafruit library. Highly recommended for beginners.
Q: What is the maximum altitude this sensor can measure accurately?
A: The BMP180 is designed for atmospheric pressure measurement typically found between -500m and +9000m above sea level. Accuracy may decrease at extreme extremes.
Q: Which libraries work best with this module?
A: The Adafruit BMP085/BMP180 library and the SparkFun BMP180 library are the most popular and well-supported options for Arduino and similar platforms.
Q: Do I need to buy separate wires for connection?
A: The module usually does not come with jumper wires. You will need male-to-female or male-to-male jumper wires depending on your setup to connect VCC, GND, SDA, and SCL.
Q: Can this sensor be used underwater?
A: No, this is an atmospheric pressure sensor and is not waterproof. Submerging it in water will damage the electronics. It must be kept dry.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V logic boards like the Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, the GY-68 board includes a voltage regulator and level shifting, making it safe to use with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
