Solid module, watch the voltage
The module works great, but make sure you check your microcontroller's logic levels. While it claims 5V tolerance, I prefer using a 3.3V regulator to be safe. Data consistency is excellent.

Good accuracy after calibration
Out of the box, the pressure reading was slightly off, but after inputting my local sea level pressure into the code, it matches my professional barometer perfectly. Temperature readings are also quite responsive.

Perfect for altitude hold projects
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino flight controller. The I2C connection was easy to set up, and the altitude readings are stable enough for basic altitude hold functions. Great value for the price.

Low power consumption is a plus
Using this in a battery-powered weather node. The sleep mode current draw is incredibly low, allowing the device to run for months on a small coin cell. Highly recommended for remote sensors.

Great for learning embedded systems
Bought this for a university project. The documentation online is extensive, and there are plenty of libraries available for ESP32 and Raspberry Pi. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged.
Q: What is the difference between this and the BME280?
A: The BMP280 measures temperature and pressure only. The BME280 includes an additional humidity sensor. If you do not need humidity data, the BMP280 is a cost-effective choice.
Q: Can this sensor be used directly with a 5V Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, the GY-BMP280 module typically includes voltage regulators and level shifters, making it safe to connect directly to 5V logic boards like the Arduino Uno. However, always verify the specific board markings.
Q: Is the SPI interface enabled by default?
A: By default, the module is usually configured for I2C. To use SPI, you may need to pull the CS (Chip Select) pin low and potentially adjust the SDO pin configuration as per the datasheet.
Q: How do I calculate altitude from the pressure data?

Q: Does this come with headers pre-soldered?
