Great value, minor connectivity hiccups
Overall a solid sensor module for the price. Occasionally drops connection if I move too far from my phone, but reconnects quickly. The battery life is impressive; I've only charged it twice in a month.

Reliable and durable
I've used this daily for three months. It survives sweat and occasional rain without issues. The signal remains strong even in crowded gyms with lots of interference.

Perfect for research projects
I bought this for a university biomechanics project. The data stream is stable and the HRV metrics are consistent when compared to our lab equipment. Setup was straightforward with the provided documentation.

Excellent raw data access
As a developer, I appreciate the ability to access raw ECG signals easily. The BLE protocol is well implemented, making it simple to integrate into custom health applications.

Good for fitness tracking
Works well with standard fitness apps. The heart rate zones seem accurate during interval training. Would give 5 stars if the carrying case was included, but that's a minor issue.

Comfortable for long runs
The chest strap material is much softer than my old plastic one. No chafing even during marathon training sessions. The Bluetooth pairing is instant with my running watch app.
Q: Does it store data internally if the connection is lost?
A: No, the BMD101 is designed for real-time streaming only. It does not have internal memory storage; data must be recorded by the connected device (phone, tablet, or computer).
Q: What is the latency for real-time data transmission?
A: Under normal conditions with BLE 4.0, the latency is typically less than 50ms, which is suitable for real-time monitoring and biofeedback applications.
Q: Does this module work with third-party apps like Strava or Garmin Connect?
A: Yes, the BMD101 broadcasts standard Bluetooth Heart Rate profiles, making it compatible with most major fitness platforms including Strava, Garmin Connect, and Wahoo.
Q: Is the strap washable?
A: Yes, the fabric strap is fully washable. Please remove the electronic sensor module before washing the strap in cold water and let it air dry.
Q: Can I replace the battery myself?
A: The module uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery integrated into the unit. It is not designed for user replacement, but the long battery life ensures years of usage before degradation.
