Great accuracy for the price
I compared readings against a multimeter and they were within 1% margin. The zero drift feature really helps maintain consistency over long test runs. Only wish the shunt resistor could handle slightly higher currents.

Must-have for power analysis

Compact and reliable
Small form factor fits perfectly inside my robot chassis. Setup took less than 10 minutes using the standard Adafruit library. Highly recommended for battery monitoring applications.

Excellent documentation support
The datasheet is clear, and there are plenty of tutorials online. The bidirectional capability is useful for tracking charge and discharge cycles in my Li-ion packs.

Good value sensor
Works as advertised. The soldering pads are well-sized for hand soldering. I deducted one star because the included header pins were slightly bent upon arrival, but easily fixed.

Perfect for Arduino projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The I2C communication is stable, and the library support is excellent. Measuring current and voltage simultaneously makes debugging power issues very easy.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Absolutely. Since it uses the I2C protocol, it is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Just ensure you enable the I2C interface in your Pi settings.
Q: Do I need an external pull-up resistor for the I2C lines?
A: Most breakout boards, including this MCU-219, come with onboard pull-up resistors. You generally do not need external ones unless you have multiple devices on the same bus causing signal issues.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this can handle without damage?
A: The module is rated for up to 26V DC on the bus line. Exceeding this voltage may permanently damage the sensor.
Q: Can I change the shunt resistor to measure higher currents?
A: Yes, advanced users can replace the onboard 0.1Ω shunt resistor with a lower value resistor to measure higher currents, but you must recalibrate the sensor in your code accordingly.
Q: Can this module measure negative current?
A: Yes, the INA219 chip supports bidirectional current measurement, allowing it to detect both charging and discharging states.
