Solid build quality
The pump is quiet and the sensor feels durable. I appreciate that it uses a capacitive sensor which doesn't corrode like resistive ones.

Great DIY project
Easy to assemble and works as advertised. The only reason for 4 stars is that the tubing could be a bit longer for larger setups, but it's easy to extend.

Perfect for my vacation!

Good for office desks
Keeps my desk plant alive without me having to remember watering schedules. Setup took about 15 minutes.
Q: Can this system work with a large 5-gallon bucket as a water reservoir?
A: Yes, the pump can draw water from any container as long as the intake tube reaches the bottom and the container is within the 3-meter tube range.
Q: Can I adjust how much water is released each time?
A: Yes, there is a dial on the controller module that allows you to adjust the watering duration, effectively controlling the volume of water released per cycle.
Q: How often does the sensor check the soil moisture level?
A: The controller checks the moisture level approximately every 30 minutes. If the soil is dry, it activates the pump for a preset duration.
Q: Is the tubing UV resistant for outdoor use?
A: The included silicone tubing has moderate UV resistance, but for prolonged direct sunlight exposure, we recommend burying the tubes or using additional UV protection sleeves.
Q: Does the kit come with batteries or do I need to buy them separately?
A: Batteries are not included. The kit can be powered via a standard USB cable (adapter not included) or a separate 5V battery pack using AA batteries.
