Good resolution, needs calibration
The 12-bit resolution is sufficient for most hobby CNC applications. Do note that you need to calibrate the zero position in your code for best accuracy, but that is standard for this chip type.

Great value, minor wiring confusion
Works exactly as described. The only reason for 4 stars is that the pinout diagram on the back was slightly faded, but the datasheet cleared everything up. High refresh rate makes it ideal for fast motors.

Fast shipping and works great
Arrived well-packaged. Tested immediately on a BLDC motor controller. The PWM output mode is very convenient for legacy systems that don't support I2C. Highly recommended.

Perfect for my robotic arm project
The precision on this AS5600 module is outstanding. I integrated it into a joint for a 6-axis robot arm, and the angle readings are smooth and consistent. The I2C library worked out of the box with my Arduino.

Reliable under vibration
Used this on a custom gimbal setup. Despite high vibrations during flight, the magnetic sensing remains stable. Much better than optical encoders in dusty environments.
Q: Can I use this with a 5V Arduino Uno?
A: Absolutely. The module supports 3.3V to 5V input logic, making it fully compatible with 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno.
Q: Does this module come with the magnet included?
A: Yes, the package includes one diametrically magnetized ring magnet suitable for mounting on the motor shaft.
Q: What is the maximum air gap allowed between the sensor and the magnet?
A: For optimal performance, we recommend an air gap between 0.5mm and 2.0mm. Larger gaps may reduce signal strength and accuracy.
Q: Is there sample code available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, we provide Python libraries and example scripts for Raspberry Pi on our GitHub repository, linked in the product manual PDF.
Q: Can this measure absolute position after power loss?
A: Yes, this is an absolute encoder. It will report the exact angular position immediately upon powering up, without needing to home or rotate.
